Clean surface with dry towel to remove excess dust. Trace or draw pattern on project.
(Refer to color worksheet throughout)
Double-load a #12 flat brush with Wicker White and Burnt Umber. On chisel edge, leading with Wicker White, Paint vines.
Load a 3/4" flat with Gray Plum. Work in a good amount of Floating Medium and paint the bow.
Double-Load a #12 flat brush with Burnt Umber and Wicker White. Leading with the white, paint the stems that protrude from the bow.
Double-load a # 12 flat brush with Wicker White and Dioxazine Purple. Starting from the bottom of the stems, dab strokes from left to right, going downward on stems. Alternate purple and white with each cluster of flowers.
Load a #2 Script Liner with inky Plum Pudding and add detail to bow. Also use inky white to add white details.
Double-load a #12 flat brush with Dioxazine Purple and Wicker White. With white to outer edge, paint butterfly wings.
Load a #2 Script Liner with inky Burnt Umber and paint body and antenna of the butterfly. With same inky Burnt Umber, paint curlicues.
Allow project to dry.
